Take Back Our Republic appreciates the New York Times giving Executive Director John Pudner the last word (closing Paragraph) in its recent article on how Trump has broken down the old SuperPac-bundler model. "The traditional campaign spends most of its time raising money so that it can pay to get its message out," said John Pudner, Executive Director of Take Back Our Republic, a conservative group that promotes small dollar giving. "Trump broke down the means, which is collect a lot of money. He's found a different means to the same end."

Take Back Our Republic officially released its first book on campaign finance reform, Taxation Only With Representation, at Thursday’s (1/21) campaign finance solutions summit at the Brookings Institute. Pudner was on a three-member panel with Mike Petro of the pro-business Committee on Economic Development and Peter Schweitzer, the author of Clinton Cash.
This book is the first comprehensive discussion of corruption in campaign finance from the viewpoint of a political conservative. In this book, Richard Painter discusses how our money driven campaign system undermines the vision of our Founding Fathers and just about every principle that conservatives believe in. Painter then lays out a plan for reform that conservatives, and the Supreme Court, will embrace: defining the government's right to tax its citizens in a way that will give each citizen a real voice in funding campaigns for elected officials. http://www.amazon.com/dp/1939324122

More than a year later, it's still not clear where the money came from or why two Ohio-based groups would want to influence an election 600 miles away. The same groups also [...]
Tonight’s debate, Al-Jazeera, our legislation Six days after Al-Jazeera America attacked our proposal to make sure unverified credit card contributions were not coming from overseas, Tuesday’s Presidential debate featured renewed charges that Iran is receiving $150 billion even if they ultimately reject the compromise agreed upon with The United States and the international community earlier this year. In light of this amount of money hinging on Government decisions, the GOP sponsor (Paul Gosar) of the bill based on our Educational Papers is concerned about foreign campaign contributions coming in among the hundreds of millions of undisclosed credit card contributions.
