Richard W. Painter, who regularly quotes Barry Goldwater, received his B.A., summa cum laude, in history from Harvard University and his J.D. from Yale University, where he was an editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation. Rob Schaaf, from St. Joseph, Missouri, has been an active proponent of anti-­corruption reforms at the state level. The son of a Republican state senator, he's been intimately involved with a number of political campaigns and has had a front-­row view of the legislative process in Missouri.
