Executive Director Email: johnp@takeback.org Phone: 334-329-7258 John Pudner was the oldest of 9 children growing up in a 3 bedroom house in inner city Richmond, VA where he attended the same Catholic, military high school as Donald Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon. Now the father of 9 children, John Pudner learned at a young age the importance of timing, negotiating and diplomacy.  More importantly, he learned how to live on a shoe-string budget. Those early life lessons helped put him on the national political scene when in the 2014 primaries, he jump-started the campaign of Dave Brat, who would ultimately [...]

His experience as a YMCA Youth Director developed and honed his communication skills enough to ultimately plan and execute more than 40,000 door knocks and thousands more phone calls for candidates like Alabama State Senator Dr. Larry Stutts and Alabama House Commerce Committee Chair, Jack Williams.Justin’s departure from the “Y” led him straight into the political arena to direct large grassroots initiatives for campaigns in [...]

Liz has 30 years’ experience in politics, public policy and non-profit work. She has worked for both Republican and Democratic politicians -- and she remembers when candidates focused on constituents rather than campaign donors. She has also served in government at the federal, state and municipal levels. During the run-up to the 2016 presidential primary, Liz worked for the campaign finance reform group NH Rebellion; and she was the primary spokesman for the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission during its 1990s investigation of state legislators and lobbyists.

Born in Queens, raised in the Bronx, attended school in Manhattan and based in Brooklyn, Shaaya breathes the streets of New York. As a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Shaaya built a reputation on campus as a strong reform conservative. Since graduating he has been involved in campaigns, worked with members of Congress and interned for the Republican National Committee. Now, he has decided to trade in his partisan jersey to work for Take Back in order bring about meaningful campaign finance reform.
