Liz has 30 years’ experience in politics, public policy and non-profit work. She has worked for both Republican and Democratic politicians -- and she remembers when candidates focused on constituents rather than campaign donors. She has also served in government at the federal, state and municipal levels. During the run-up to the 2016 presidential primary, Liz worked for the campaign finance reform group NH Rebellion; and she was the primary spokesman for the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission during its 1990s investigation of state legislators and lobbyists.
Born in Queens, raised in the Bronx, attended school in Manhattan and based in Brooklyn, Shaaya breathes the streets of New York. As a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Shaaya built a reputation on campus as a strong reform conservative. Since graduating he has been involved in campaigns, worked with members of Congress and interned for the Republican National Committee. Now, he has decided to trade in his partisan jersey to work for Take Back in order bring about meaningful campaign finance reform.
