November 5, 2018

Whatever the results Tuesday, I will accept them even as Take Back Our Republic works for conservative political reform to make the next election more democratic so that the republic that has been improved many times over the centuries continues to survive,” wrote John Pudner on Monday. March 15, 2017

AUBURN, AL- In our last article, we wrote about the time period of 2006 to 2015 and introduced a few thoughts. Below we briefly break down the numbers of lobbyists at the state level over the decade. Wealthy and Poor All Lose

March 14, 2017

One common misconception is that campaign finance reform would hurt wealthy Americans and help those in lower income brackets. In fact, the current system hurts most Americans in EVERY tax bracket. This is one of the themes of a book to be published later in 2015 by Professor Richard Painter, who is a board member of Take Back. Professor Painter notes that even most of the top 1% of earners don’t really make significant campaign contributions.  Only 30% of millionaires […]

Special Interest Vs. National Interest

March 14, 2017

Excessive political contributions from those expecting to get something in return for their contribution distorts the political landscape from those who give (often much smaller) contributions due to ideological beliefs. March 14, 2017

However, the facts point toward “Drain the Swamps,” […]

TBOR Featured in Bloomberg’s Money and Politics Report

June 20, 2016

The new Kilmer-Hanna legislation would require groups that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c) of the tax code to check a box on their annual returns filed with the Internal Revenue Service declaring that they did not use foreign donations for campaign activities, Kilmer’s statement said. The measure also would require these organizations to certify in reports filed with the Federal Election Commission that no foreign funds were used for independent campaign expenditures or other campaign-related spending.
