Shortly after I submitted this analytics piece on Wednesday night to Breitbart, Barkley went on TNT ripping analytics as being done by people who never had prom dates.
No matter where you are on the political spectrum, you probably have been offended by Sir Charles at times, and at other times yelled, _You tell them Sir Charles!_ Consider that the same person said both that he was pro-choice and conservatives are _fake Christians,_ AND responded to Adrian Peterson_s indictment for using a switch on his child by saying, “I_m from the South. Whooping, we do it all the time. Every black parent in the South is going to be in jail under those circumstances. _ We spank kids in the South._
He wanted to run as a Republican in the 1998 Alabama race for Governor, then backed President Obama in 2008, and then wanted to run in the 2014 Alabama race for Governor as an INDEPENDENT. He said, _The Republicans are full of it,_ but also called the Ferguson looters “scumbags,” and supported officer Darren Wilson in the Ferguson shooting and agreed with the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin. To say he does not agree with my strong anti-gambling stand is an understatement, as he reported having lost $30 million on the habit.
Hey, I know something about offending people on both sides of the political spectrum! I faced plenty of that after Dave Brat told the National Review last year I was running his effort to defeat Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and even had some criticism from a few on both sides more recently after announcing the formation of Take Back Our Republic to shift the political focus from a few big donors to the rank-and-file American citizens.
I hate to mess with a fellow antagonist like Barkley, but when someone attacks analytics I must respond! I think I looked more like the nerd on the left during my college days. But hey, I had a lot of 20-point games in college just like Sir Charles _ mine just happened to be on an intramural team at Marquette instead of as SEC player of the year at Auburn like Sir Charles. Read my response here.
