Take Back Our Republic Announces MarQuen Mitchell as Oklahoma State coordinator

Today, the only national conservative money in politics organization, Take Back Our Republic (TBOR), named MarQuen Mitchell as an Oklahoma State Coordinator to be one of the leaders of the organization’s statewide efforts.

“It was great to travel throughout Oklahoma while attending school and playing basketball for Eastern Oklahoma State,” said Mitchell, who already called more than 2,000 fellow TBOR members in Oklahoma. “In my conversations since becoming TBOR’s State Coordinator, it has been great to reconnect with so many throughout the state and understand what frustrates them about pay-for-play politics in Oklahoma.

In 2019, the Hatton W. Sumners Foundation featured a presentation by TBOR Executive Director John Pudner and other organizations that drew 100 attendees to Oklahoma State Community College. Sumners was the former Judiciary Chair in Congress who is renowned by Conservative Constitutional scholars for refusing to allow President Franklin D. Roosevelt to add seats to the US Supreme Court in response to certain actions he took being ruled unconstitutional.

“We are so happy to welcome MarQuen Mitchell as Take Back Our Republic’s Oklahoma coordinator. The addition of MarQuen in a state like Oklahoma couldn’t come at a better time. We’ve been looking to build our presence and state chapters in the Midwest. MarQuen helps kickstart our efforts in the Sooner State.” said Justin Hill the Deputy Director of Take Back Our Republic.
