Transparency Victory on Capitol Hill

Executive Director John Pudner is on Capitol Hill after a great victory for transparency, and in support of HR1341 to cut off foreign infiltration in our elections through massive unverified credit card contributions. He is pictured above Tuesday morning with Kevin Kosar of RStreet, one of our fasted growing allies, at a forum on the separation of powers and need for Congress to act to represent people rather than defer to judicial activism and executive orders.
Pudner commented two weeks ago on the measure that was just approved:
“I applaud the move to open the door for campaign filings in the Senate to be e-filed, just as they are in the House. This is common sense reform increases transparency and accessibility for the public, and it simplifies the process for candidates. It is long overdue.” John Pudner, Executive Director Take Back Our Republic
The Senate e-filing provision is a great victory and we hope HR1341 will be taken up soon as well.
Pudner will travel to Richmond tonight to announce new legislation being introduced in Virginia that can be a model for the country try. If you are in the Richmond area and would like to hear more about this legislation feel free to stop by our free event at the Bryd Theatre, directions and event information can be found here.
