This week the TBOR field team was on the ground in Charleston to meet with state delegates during the special session. Below is an update from Field Coordinator Johnny Babilon, for continued updates from the West Virginia field team visit TransparentWV.com
After being invited to the special session of the West Virginia Legislature, earlier this week West Virginia field coordinators Johnny and Noah met with legislators at the Capitol in Charleston, WV. At a great meeting with Delegate Josh Booth they discussed the work they are doing in the state to stop the flow of untraceable money in politics and other reform issues. Delegate Booth has proven to be a great ally to West Virginians for Transparency, by providing insight on issues facing his constituents and assisting our field team in our next steps of action. After the meeting, Delegate Booth gave Johnny and Noah a tour of the Capitol and introduced them to countless legislative officials. Following the tour of the Capitol, both Johnny and Noah stayed to watch several special session committee meetings.
